Yeah ! After the endless countdown, we finally left! We left exactly at 13.30 p.p. (do you believe it?). Waved goodbye by an enthusiastic crowd (three is a crowd) it was first to Boer Biet for some refreshments for on the road and then on the highway, on the way to Charleroi.

Our band member Stanley, who lives in Malta, had aquestion a few weeks ago. Can the band represent the Netherlands at a cultural festival in Malta? Booked by the Dutch embassy. Obviously, it takes some organization to have the whole band available for a few days. In addition, the transportation of instruments and accommodation, own contribution and program to organize, but ….. we succeeded!

On a sunny Sunday afternoon we played for the first time in Salzbergen (D).
The Salz und Ölmarkt was visited by many hundreds of people of all ages. This year was the 25th anniversary of the volunteer firefighting museum association. We were very warmly welcomed and received many positive reactions from the audience.

Our Wim and Hanneke have been married for 60 years. Of course we surprise them with a serenade. Wim was enjoying himself and playing the solo’s in our Saxen repertoire: Purperen hei, We have a houseboat (dutch song), Amsterdam medley ….
“Rijssen zet de toon” was a real musical spectacle organized by four Rijssen amateur clubs in the Volkspark in Rijssen. It is therefore a privilege to be allowed to play for these fellow musicians during the afterparty.
With five Heultjes we have introduced preschoolers to different musical instruments. Hard music, soft music, slow, fast; everything is possible with the instruments.
"All colors of the rainbow" of K3 was really the top hit among the toddlers of elementary school de Regenboog.
A wonderful afternoon with musicians and music lovers together. The Korhanen themselves sang several songs that are also in our repertoire, including “The pianoman”. A very pleasant afternoon where instruments and singing complement each other nicely.
W made music in the sun while more than 600 guests arrived at the party on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of ETTC (European Truck & Trailer Care). A number of new songs were played for the first time during a performance with [Left – Right] – [Sex is on Fire] and [I’m so Exited]. And ok, we can practice on the spontanious [Left-Right] dance steps ;-).
It was nice weather on King’s Day so the terraces were filled with listeners. The organization of the King’s day was well again. We played our Dutch repertoire as much as possible, on the Smitsbelt, the central square in Holten. We played the typical dutch songs like Amsterdam medley, we have a houseboat (woonboot), Oranje upstairs (Oranje boven) and much more (this translates really awefull ;-). Always nice and cozy to play in Holten on the terraces.
Also this year, we departed from the Bosschool with 50 parents and children with lanterns towards the Easter fire. We played the dutch top hit which translates :”Hello everyone …, what a great thing you are here!”. (A song from a new dutch TV serie.) And for the first time people from all over the Netherlands sang along :-).
